Day-by-day itinerary

  1. Day 1: Mon. Tel Aviv – Ben Gurion Airport – Transfer to the hotel — Arrival at Ben Gurion Airport, assistance and transfer to the hotel. Overnight.
  2. Day 2: Tue. Caesarea – Haifa – Acre – Nazareth — Breakfast. Departure for Caesarea Maritima, the ancient Roman capital, where we visit the theater, the walls of the Crusader fortress and the Roman aqueduct. We continue to Haifa and go up Mount Carmel, home to the Grotto of the Prophet Elijah, and admire the Bahai Temple and its Persian Gardens, with a panoramic view of the city and the harbor. We continue to Acre, the Crusader capital, visiting its medieval fortifications. Arrival in Nazareth. Dinner included and overnight.
  3. Day 3: Wed. Nazareth – Magdala – Mount of Beatitudes – Tabgha – Capernaum – Nazareth — Breakfast. We begin the day with a boat ride on the Sea of Galilee. We continue to Magdala, where we see the remains of the ancient village and its synagogue and visit the modern church. Later we visit the Mount of Beatitudes, where the Sermon on the Mount took place. Arrival at Tabgha, site of the multiplication of the loaves and fishes. Visit Capernaum, where the House of St. Peter and the ruins of the ancient synagogue are located. Return to Nazareth. Dinner included and overnight. NOTE: The boat ride on the Sea of Galilee may take place the following day.
  4. Day 4: Thu. Nazareth – Mount Precipice – Cana of Galilee – Jordan River – Bethlehem — Breakfast. In the morning, city tour of Nazareth: we visit the Basilica of the Annunciation, St. Joseph's Workshop and Mary's Well. We continue to Mount Precipice, from where we admire a beautiful panoramic view of Nazareth and its surroundings. The day continues with a visit to Cana of Galilee, where Jesus performed His first miracle. In the afternoon, departure for Jerusalem along the Jordan River Valley, skirting the oasis of Jericho, with a panoramic view of the Mount of Temptation and the Dead Sea. We climb through the Judean Desert and enter Jerusalem, city of peace and cradle of the three great monotheistic religions. Continue to Bethlehem. Overnight.
  5. Day 5: Fri. Jerusalem – Bethlehem — Breakfast and departure. We visit the village of Ein Karem, home to the Church of St. John the Baptist, birthplace of St. John the Baptist. Then, in Bethlehem, we visit the Church of the Nativity, with the Grotto of the Manger and the 14-point star marking the birthplace of Jesus. We also see the Basilica of St. Catherine and the Grotto of St. Jerome, where he translated the Bible into Latin. In the afternoon, we visit Shepherds' Field in Beit Sahour, where the angels announced the birth of Jesus. Return to the hotel in Bethlehem. Overnight.
  6. Day 6: Sat. Jerusalem – Masada – Dead Sea – Bethlehem — Breakfast. Departure for the Judean Desert to visit Masada, the last stronghold of the Jewish rebels in their struggle against the Romans. We go up by cable car to explore the remains of the palaces and fortifications that once stood there. Afterwards, free time at the Dead Sea to bathe at one of its beaches (weather permitting). Return to Bethlehem. Overnight.
  7. Day 7: Sun. Jerusalem – Bethlehem — Breakfast. Departure for the Old City, beginning with a visit to the Western Wall, a holy site for Judaism. We then head to the Temple Mount (Haram al-Sharif), the third holiest site in Islam, with the imposing Dome of the Rock, symbol of Jerusalem. Next, we walk the Via Dolorosa, the path Jesus took carrying the cross, to Golgotha, site of His crucifixion, and the Church of the Holy Sepulchre, where He was buried and rose again. We visit Mount Zion, with the Tomb of King David, the Cenacle (Room of the Last Supper and Pentecost) and the Dormition Abbey, which commemorates the Assumption of Mary. From the Mount of Olives we enjoy a panoramic view of the city and, finally, we visit the Garden of Gethsemane and the Church of All Nations (Basilica of the Agony), where Jesus prayed before His arrest. Return to Bethlehem. Overnight.
  8. Day 8: Mon. Jerusalem – Bethany (al-Eizariya) – Good Samaritan – Jericho – Qasr al-Yahud – Bethlehem — Breakfast. Visit Bethany (al-Eizariya), followed by the Inn of the Good Samaritan and its story. We then continue to Jericho for lunch and a visit to the Mount of Temptation and the Sycamore Tree of Zacchaeus. Finally, we explore Qasr al-Yahud on the Jordan River, reflecting on the baptism of Jesus. Return to Bethlehem. Overnight.
  9. Day 9: Tue. Bethlehem — After breakfast, end of our services.
